2 min read

The Mobibooth EDGE photo booth features decorative RGB LED around the edges of the front and back of the unit. These LEDs provide an accent that can be color matched to your client’s event theme. They also can assist the DSLR or mirrorless camera in the system during auto-focus.

Follow the steps outlined below to connect to and control the Mobibooth EDGE RGB LEDs using Snappic’s LED Integrations.

This tutorial will only work for the iPad version of the EDGE. These steps are not applicable for the Surface Pro configuration.

Step 1: Open the Snappic App #

Launch the Snappic app on your device. If necessary login to the app before proceeding.

Step 2: Select and Load An Events #

Step 5: Select the Desired LED Mode #

Snappic offers customization of the LEDs for a few different states in the app. Tap edit beside the state to specify the controller mode to use during that app state.

Once you set the chip type to WS2811 and the LED count to 28, the lights will respond to the app as expected. You can assign colors or animations for different parts of the session. This lets the booth match the event or give guests cues. Always test your settings before the event starts.
